Very elegant in smell, mouthfeel and taste. Crisp but with low carbonation. Cider like aftertaste. Reminds me on Rodenbach Grand Cru. Don“t regret my purchase.

Serving: Bottle
Blend: 84
Bottled: May-31-2019 (Consumed Nov-10)
It pours clearish gold with an airy off-white head that quickly drops to a fat film, leaving little lacing. Crabapple-cinnamon nose, almost cheesy (parmesan) twang to it as it warms up a little(?). Earthy, spicy, medium sour flavor with woody, dusty malt and clean soft vinegar and green apple. It is very dry, lively carbonation, lingering tart character. This is an all right beer. It is not quite as complex in terms of sourness or saisonness as it could be but is definitely not bad or boring. The foot-like aroma was kind of distracting at first, but is not terrible and I don't think constitutes and off flavor. It blends into the start of the vinegar smell and I am fairly certain it is yeast/barrel funk. If not it isn't enough to be bad and if anything helps with the lack of depth. A tasty, tart, saison.

500 ml bottle served cold into a chalice. LCBO purchase for $7.95 CDN. Blend 70 and bottled on February 12, 2019.
Appearance - Mildly hazy, rich golden color. A half finger of fizzy thin white head rests on top and stays for a short duration. Plenty of visible carbonation.
Smell - Complex nose. Some stone fruit mixed with white grapes as there is a distinct vinous aroma initially. Transitions to heavy funk with brett and such. Grape must after wards and some wood in there too. Some sugar and spice too from 40,000 feet.
Taste - Lots of grapes initially mixed with pear, brett takes over and there's certainly some wood mixed in. White pepper notes towards the end. Funky but well rounded.
Mouthfeel - Medium body, crisp and assertive carbonation but still light on the the tongue. Medium dry finish.
Overall - Yeah, this is a pretty good barrel aged saison. No complaints here, a bit steep for regular consumption, but certainly a nice treat with all the complexities melding together for a great drinking experience. Definitely worth a tipple or two.
