A crisp, clean, quaffable beer at a great price!
Big Bad John’s has been serving beer since 1962 – so we know a good beer when we taste one. This crisp, fresh lager goes perfectly with bluegrass , peanuts and moonshine. We reckon it’s better than just xxx – it’s XXXXX.

(Originally brewed by Hugo's Brewhouse until they closed 2008)

Vancouver Is. Brewing 'Big Bad John's 5X Lager' @ 5.0% , served from a 6pack of 355 ml can's purchased at The Strath Ale Wine & Spirit Merchants
A-pour is almost clear from the can to a clear light gold in the glass with a medium size white head leaving a spotty lace along the pint

T-clean & crisp lager , easy drinking
MF-ok carbonation , medium body
Ov-on tap/draught at Big Bad John's Hillbilly Bar (Strathcona Hotel) , very similar to Vancouver Is. 'Islander Lager'
