Drinking this at The Hillman Brewery located in Old Fort NC.
Poured from a tap into a pint glass.
Appears dark brown with a nice foamy tan head and lacing that dropped to a thin cap.
Smells roasty, toasty, malty carmel.
Taste follows the nose.
Mouth feel is medium plus for the style.
Overall a very nice smoky Porter that I would definitely order again.

On tap at the brewery taproom in Asheville.
This is a a great looking beer with a dark reddish-brown body that beautiful, sparkling highlights and a creamy, durable tan head. Excellent lacing.
Sweet dark malts dominate the aroma and the flavor, the latter also revealing some smoky notes. Mildly bitter.

Served up fresh in Hillman pint glass - actual. Deep dark body, full head, beautiful.
Robust is the name and the aromas are exactly that. Roasty, malty, near chocolatey mocha etc...
Tastes incredible, appropriate richness, bitter and dryness. killer.
Feel is a tad on the thick side, but the name is ROBUST Porter, so it is with the delicious ale.
Overall it is and aptly named Awesome brew, and I will have more next time.
