Picked up a 32 oz crowler at Hillman's Old Fort location 11-19-21 for $19.00. 9.8% ABV per the can.
Beer poured reddish brown with a soap-bubble off-white head.
Nose is nice, bready with notes of dark fruits.
Taste follows the nose with a big bready malt base that gives notes of dark fruits. Hop addition provides a floral but balancing effect with an ever so light touch of grapefruit. Finishes balanced with no hint of residual sweetness.
Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied and very smooth and satisfying.
Overall a classic nod to the not often brewed English BA. Best experienced by a learned pallet!
