Pours with quite a large quantity of extremely light and fluffy head at first, necessitating a careful pour. Very aromatic, a blend of raisin, demerara sugar, and sea brine. Currant, chocolate, light peat, Pinot noir, and some honeyed bourbon notes join in on the palate, but not much boozy heat. A touch of oak tartness as barrel character. Good complexity and distinctive compared to the bounty of BBA stouts and porters out there.
