Picked up a four-pack while visiting the Hillman Old Fort outpost 5-12-23 for $15. Canned 4-7-23; consumed for review 5-18-23.
Beer poured reddish-brown with a nice off-white head.
Nose is nice, notes of dark fruit and a touch of cloves.
Taste is a moderate malt base in which the yeast gives raison, plum, and ripe banana notes. Finishes dry with a pleasant amount of sweetness.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with the yeast strain assisting with a smooth sip each time.
Overall a pretty good interpretation of the Belgian Dubbel style!
