CAN; 12 fl oz single ran me $1.45 USD plus tax at Martin Wine Cellar in New Orleans, LA.
"Hopped pilsner." 6.1% ABV.
Port Orleans continues to disappoint...this is a very mediocre attempt at a pilsner. Lacks any recognizable Noble hop character, instead going with a poor American hop profile. Neither an IPL dressed up as a pilsner nor a pilsner proper...uncomfortably in-between.

Hazy lighter shade of gold color with bountiful cap and lacing.
Aroma of sweet malt and floral hops tinged with tropical fruits.
Flavor on entry leans toward the hops which are sharper and less fruity than the scent implies. It's a richer sort of piquant flavor that dominates but doesn't overwhelm the malt. These flavors stay the same all the way through with the fruit diminishing while the malt builds toward the finish but hops are what carry the show.
Medium texture with balancing carbonation.
If I were into labels, which I'm not, I would call this an IPL rather than a Pilsner but that's just me. As a stand alone beer it's pretty darn good by any standards.

Ella! has a thick ivory head, a hazy, orange, bubbly appearance, and very heavy glass lacing. Aroma is of tropical fruit and sweet, white bread. The flavor is similar, with strong and pleasant bitterness. Mouthfeel is heavy, and Ella! finishes mostly dry.

I'm trying this at the brewery and it might be my favorite beer from Port Orleans. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving a nice ring lace. The scent had pine like hop. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with good pine and floral presence. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a solid beer.
