To the man who not only has given so much to the community, but who also made the best play in all of American Football. Steve Gleason's story has inspired a movement within our nation, and for that, he truly deserves a beer. Dry-hopped with ~5lbs per barrel of Mosaic, Azecca, and Lemondrop hops, this hazy IPA is a cloudy light orange with a fluffy white head. It has a mouth-watering hop aroma with a fruity, citrus character. A modest sweet bitterness creates a lingering soft finish.

Glowing in a radiant hue of gold and orange, this beer wears a thick cap of white froth. The taste starts with a bold maltiness, swiftly giving way to pronounced hoppy notes, intertwined with a distinct grapefruit essence reminiscent of its aroma.
The scent is powerfully marked by herbal and resinous hops, with a backdrop of citrusy hints, grapefruit prominence, and a touch of malty richness. As you delve deeper into the drink, the hop and grapefruit character becomes more pronounced, offering depth without overbearing bitterness.
This beer carries a medium to rich body, rounded off by a balanced finish. The end note is sharp, citrusy, and complex, leaving a lasting hop and grapefruit impression.

I had the pleasure of enjoying a pint of the Gleason Juicy IPA at Port Orleans Brewery's taproom. The beer presents a hazy, opaque milky orange appearance with ample sediment, matched by an off-white head and appealing glass lacing.
The taste is subtly complex, with notes of grapefruit and citrus. It's balanced, neither too sweet nor too potent, and has an easygoing nature. Bready undertones add depth, making for a pleasurable drink.
The mouthfeel is substantial, high medium, and grainy, thick like a hearty breakfast cereal. It adds an interesting twist, enhancing the overall experience without overwhelming the other flavors.
In short, Gleason Juicy IPA is a well-rounded and engaging beer. Its approachable yet intriguing taste profile, combined with its unique texture, makes it a standout choice for those seeking a balanced and flavorful IPA.

Picked this up in The Big Easy in the French Quarter when I was down there not too long ago. Wasn't aware of Steve Gleason or his backstory but it was nice that he had a beer brewed in his honor and even nicer that this was a likeable take on the style with plenty of flavor and heft to it from start to finish!
This had a milky goldenrod hue to it with a wavy head that settled down in typical fashion. Only a thin ring of lacing remained behind as a moderate clump of dark sediment settled down at the bottom of the liquid. Lots of lemondrop and citrus in the muted nose as the taste followed suit with tangerine, clementine, and lemon leading the way. Not too sweet, hoppy, or potent, this had a relatively easygoing nature to it with plenty of bread to round out the body and a moderate carbonation that kept things light enough without being too fizzy. Fruit sweetness and a hint of dankness stuck around in the aftertaste, as the Lemondrop was much stronger than the Mosaic and Azecca.
Just the right amount of alcohol was here as I warmed up a bit while enjoying this, and could have easily had another if I had picked up another can. Canned on 7/18 with "1470" written underneath that, I would have preferred a fresher iteration as this ended up being more muted than skunked in the end. Light herbs and grain were this beer's legacy, as it was complex enough without being boisterous. While not on part with examples of this style from these parts, this was worth a go once to take me back to my time spent in New Orleans!

CAN:
Lovely citrus fruit juice flavour. Skullable. Orange, 2-row, floral notes, tangerine, clementine.
A nice IPA that has room for improvement with respect to depth of flavour, hop pungency, and hop variety.
Very drinkable.

At the Sisk house.
Pours extremely cloudy, dull pale straw yellow with an all white head that has average retention and some superior side glass lace.
AROMA: Herbal resin, spicy hops, some yeast.
TASTE: Tangy, sour, some sharp puckering tartness, dry finish.

Lighter shade of orange gold with large white cap.
Fairly strong aroma of herbal, resinous hops, citrus and bready malt.
More malt in the initial taste than I was expecting followed quickly by hops. Hop flavors closely match the scent. Hops build as the glass empties but they increase in firmness rather than bitterness. Clean, fairly complex that finishes with a lingering hop aftertaste.
Medium full texture with balancing aftertaste.
As IPAs go it's a good example that they should look into adding to the year round regulars.
