Originating in Cologne and enjoyed all the way in Jefferson Parish, our Kolsch is an easy-drinking, slightly fruity German-style ale with a light toasted wheat flavor. Brewed for those who don’t need “all that fancy stuff” in their beer, Kennerbrau will be your new geaux-to no matter where you’re from.

I tried a pint of this beer off the tapper at The 5216 Table and Tap in New Orleans, Louisiana. It poured a clear golden with white head that left some lace. The scent had grain and finishing hop notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright malt base and grain highlights. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

On-draught @ the brewery.
Minerally. Not fresh. Doubt they used Kolsch yeast. Mouthfeel isn't crisp or refreshing enough. Poor depth of flavour.
Drinks like a bad cream ale.
D+ / NOT RECOMMENDED
