Our Amber (Altbier) is made with the highest quality German malted barley. The result is a beverage with a brilliant amber color and a slight toasty caramel flavor. We carefully balance the malt with the sweet citrus bouquet of Hallertau Saphir hops and the unique spicy aroma and bitterness of Herkules hops. Top-fermenting yeast finishes out this clean, crisp beer rivaling the original ales of Dusseldorf, and it is brewed right here in Texas!

Poured from a 12 oz can into a Pilsner glass.
LOOK, 3.5. Bright amber. White foam.
SMELL 3.75. Intensity of smell is somewhat below medium. I smell fairly sweet malt that's complex, light sourdough bread, light spiciness and light hops. It's a very clean smell. It's obvious that good quality ingredients were used.
Taste 4.0 Intensity of taste is somewhat below medium-high. There's much less sweetness in the malt in the flavor but there's complexity in the balanced taste. The bitterness of the hops is light and long lasting and has a touch of spice.
FEEL 3.75. Thickness is medium. It's slightly creamy, has low carbonation and astringency is very low.
OVERALL 3.75. It's balanced, made with high quality ingredients and is very drinkable. I would buy it again.

A severely underrated beer style that US breweries need to make and have as a staple. We need to get back to the basics! The heavy hazy IPA and heavy triple barrel aged ________(you fill in the blank) needs to be put to rest, imho. It's too bad actual German brands of this beer aren't imported into the US very much. But anyway, this seems pretty true to style, as far as I know, and the flavor profile is spot on. This is so crushable with a light fruitiness, and a subtle dry and bitter backend. #DrinkMoreAltbier #DrinkMoreAmberLagers #DrinkMoreViennaLagers

Pours a clear copper color and sports a sudsy light tan head that lingers quite a while. Beautiful beer.
The nose features lots of caramel and toffee and just a bit of floral hops, which is precisely where the taste lands as well.
The mouthfeel is clean and crisp, on point for this delicious beer.

Pour is a clear deep copper with a thick, creamy beige head; a solid finger's worth. Good retention
Nose is toasted bread, caramel, a bit nutty
taste follows. caramel, toasted bread crust, bready, malt forward. maybe a subtle hint of grassy hops on the finish.
smooth, crisp, and easy to drink. very good

3/30/2023, enjoyed this guest tap at Altstadt Brewery, lovely location!
Color comes as deep amber/light copper with head and medium lacing.
Aroma comes across as stoney and slight malt.
Taste is stoney, old orange and white wine and malt. (I think Leah has had too much to drink)
Leaves a metallic taste in the mouth.

The taste of this beer is solid with a good amount of sweetness and bitterness. I also like the aftertaste. Color is amber with some haziness as well.
