Copenhagen 28/12 2024. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Black label with a crude drawing of a red chicken.
Pours unclear - almost opaque - golden orange with a mi-sized white head. Stable. Settles as thin but frothy layer of foam stretching to cover the surface Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of ripe orange mingling with more tart citrus fruit. Black pepper and tart currants.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a light sweetness followed by a stronger citric sourness. Aftertaste is tart with a touch of alcohol. Lingers for a bit. Finish is rather dry with a streak of alcohol.
A bit on the boozy side. Can a Saison be Imperial?
