It pours an apricot orange with lots of haze. A thick, creamy puck of bright white head boasts good retention. Lace is left behind in sheets.
Ultra fresh and fleshy peach and apricot share an equal amount of space with sticky green dankness. Fluffy vanilla and mango have a sorbet smoothness to them. As does its soft, herbal character in the back.
An incredibly enjoyable balance is struck between ripe peaches and apricots, dank greens, and rounded herbal tea. Its bitterness is leafy, dry, and less refined than anything else, lingering past the finish. Fresh, chewy biscuit rounds things out in the end.
Lusciously creamy, soft, and smooth with a bang on balance. Its lower than average CO2 level accentuates its lactose driven fluffiness.
I love that Merit is staying on the pulse of craft here in Ontario with this release, and love even more that they put their own spin on it with the integration of Earl Grey. A banger indeed.
