Visited on a late Wednesday night. Almost no one there. A nice bar with picnic table style seating and some high top seating along the window facing the street. Bright and clean.

Small pub space adjoining brewery and bottle takeout. Good tap list ranging from Pale through Imperial Stout and some stronger Belgian styles. Food was diverse, and I recommend their home made pickles - especially the cauliflower.

Really like MERIT. They serve food along with their beer, and have a really great atmosphere in a part of Hamilton with a lot of character. Staff did a good job of explaining what was on tap, although was a little disappointed that the one beer I truly wanted to try was not pouring the day I went in.

Hamilton has been long overdue for a proper brewpub and Merit is it. The atmosphere of the place is good, and like the lightbulb motiff that doubles as the place's logo. The beers themself were exceptional and they had several offerings on tap. A bit pricey though. The food menu is limited to sausages, and while I had a nice chorizo sausage there I do wish something else was offered. A bit pricey too but still a nice place to go.
