all the beer here was super well made, the brewer has a wealth of experience from what i understand, but this particular brew, well done as it is, was easily their most basic and simple they had while i was there, a safe and mass appeal facing thing, likeable sure, but seemingly less inspired than their others. i like that it has just a little more body and just a little more hops than most of its peers, especially around costa rica, but it amounts to little more than a slightly more flavorful blonde ale that i have still tasted a million times before. the quality in the costa rican craft context is through the roof though, and it tastes super fresh, is carbonated beautifully, and has a really fine cereal grain flavor at its center. a pretty easy brew to slug down in a few big sips, but not half as interesting as any of the other three of theirs i had while i was hanging out in this awesome place. definitely the pick for those preferring something on the lighter side, or if the hot and humid weather makes darker and more flavorful beers seem unappealing...
