Golden in color with a nice half inch head. "Assertively" hopped in the description meant this was the only beer they have with a hop profile in the taste. Nice, tastes good.
Very easily the best offering of any of the beers I've had at this brewpub while on several vacations here in Myrtle Beach.

An impressive brew, but not my style. This ale has a murky medium golden body with medium carbonation. The head is less than one finger which quickly leaves to be replaced by a thin island lace with some cling and ring.
This offering definetly starts to the malts as the taste of fruit, particularly oranges is dominant...but fades to a slight hoppy end.
The body is medium/full and there is a slight aroma of the fruits.

"Well-balanced, with a delicate hop finish" says the description on the blackboard. Umm....no. Pale, straw-colored in appearance. Minimal head. Very, very grainy aroma and flavor. Pretty unappealing, even as a thirst-quencher. Medium-bodied, with a slightly crisp (though by no means "delicate hop") finish. Blah....
