Pours a black color. 1/5 inch head of an off-tan color. Decent retention and decent lacing. Smells of cherry, roasted malt, sweet malt, alcohol, and hops. Fits the style of an American Porter. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with a low carbonation level. Tastes of roasted malt, sweet malt, cherries (but not fresh cherries, more like cherry cough syrup), slight hop, hint of yeast, and alcohol. Overall, weak appearance, decent aroma and feel, but the cherry flavor in the body is not pleasant and is reminiscent of cherry cough syrup.
