Round 2: This beer fared quite well, especially compared to the lighter Miss Liberty Lager. Aromas are quite hoppy for the style, but saved the otherwise grain aromas. Strong straw appearance with lacking head retention. Flavors are a malt / grain blend up front with a strong hop flavor and bittering later. Light esters bring out some ripe fruit flavors for added complexity. The feel is still too light, leaving a mild astringency behind. Decent upgrade from most yellow beers.

Poured a blonde color with a nice head with great lacing. A nice looking beer. The smell was very dissapointing. Not very much in the way of any aroma. An average taste but a nice balance of hops and malt. Tastes a bit lagerly which is alright in the style. A pretty nice mouthfeel and a very quaffable beer. I would definitely try this againl. By the way, the pretzels and beer mustard are made with this brew. A great combo.
