This dark brown beer is medium-full bodied and possesses a chocolate character without the harsher roasted flavors of a stout.

Appearance: black in color with a short tan colored head. Some spots of lace developed.
Smell: soft roasted malt tones is all you can pick up by the nose.
Taste: roasted malt, light prune sweetness, a hint of bitter chocolate, and some mild bitterness.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied. Lightly crisp throughout. Short lived aftertaste.
Drinkability: this beer went down quickly but was mild on the flavor front.

This was a thick dark brown color with a midland off-white head and solid lacing. There was a tart hops and grape aroma with a chocolate overtone. I judged this to be a fairly aqueous chocolate and charcoal flavored brew. Not much carbonation. Reasonably drinkable. There is also some raisin and a more subtle chocolate malt. Pretty bitter by the end.
