Appearance - the beer was a murky black color with a dark tan head topping the glass.
Smell - Chocolate and a bit of spice were evident in the nose. Sweetness was apparent.
Taste - in the initial impression, chocolate and cinnamon led the way. Vanilla was somewhat of an afterthought. The cinnamon probably could’ve used a bit more potency, but too much would also ruin the beer. Chocolate and cinnamon lingered, and the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - The feel was not unnaturally vicious. It had an appropriate body for the style.
Overall - Overall, this was a solid beer, but I think I was hoping for a bit more.

8oz can poured into a snifter. Love the small can idea. Coffee, vanilla, cinnamon, and chocolate in the nose. Thick mouthfeel, low carbonation evident on the palate and lack of head in the glass. Sweet up front on the palate, cinnamon comes in next lingering into the finish. There is definitely some warmth in the finish but not as much as expecting for such a high ABV. Overall, very good. A little flat, I would have preferred a bit more carbonation.

Pours an effervescent mahogany with rapidly falling tan head. Viscous, some lacing & zero head retention
S: Coffee, vanilla, wisps of alcohol, some dark fruit once warm
T: Follows the nose, plus the as promised cinnamon and some dryness up front. Dryness, vanilla, coffee, as this warms, a little cocoa too. Finishes with a little mocha, some vanilla and dryness
MF: Medium body, slight carbonation
ABV is well hidden, a nice take on a Mexican style Imp Stout, didn't quite turn the corner for greatness
