Poured viscous and sticky black with brown foam that settled into a ring. Smell is cocoa and vanilla, with malt laying in the weeds. Classic combination. Taste does well to let the fudgy chocolate and powerful vanilla shine without being too sweet, plus some nougat nuttiness, malt and a hint of minerals. Feel is my favorite aspect of the beer: chewy, malty, sticky and thick.

Tasted in a Rastal Teku from an 8 fl oz can on April 27, 2019. Imperial stout brewed with vanilla and cacao nibs. Sweet but not overly so. Smooth creamy finish.

Look is dark and opaque, some lacing due to the sugar content. Nose is very strongly vanilla with bare hints of cocoa. Taste is similar to the nose, emphasis on the vanilla with the other elements taking a backseat. Mouthfeel is fine, not too much carbonation and not flat. Overall, St. Errant does a fairly good job with these adjunct stouts, sweet and approaching the edge of being too sweet. The adjunct flavors are there but again some approach the edge of being out of balance and overwhelming.
