This was a weird one. On the pour it looked like a West Coast IPA. But it was almost a mix of West Coast and NE style. It's almost like a clear NE IPA, kind of. The looks makes you think West Coast but there is a creaminess about it. It's not heavy but it's still creamy. Yet the mouthfeel is a little thin. There is a good bit of dankness to this and a nice bitterness at the end.

16oz can, undated, released on August 5, 2020, poured into a stemless wine glass.

The beer pours a bright copper color, orange and golden hues, slight haze but with a nice clarity and a foamy white head, about a finger tall with modest retention and nice swatches of lacing. The aroma is pleasant, very floral with a nice dank and green hop character, berry fruit with a nice lingering grapefruit with just a kiss of biscuit malt and sweet yeast. The flavors are good, tangy grapefruit, lots of grassy and piney hop, a bit of tropical punch with a nice wildflower bouquet that rests on a base of doughy pale grain and mineral water. The mouthfeel is good, coating, lively medium body, crisp and dry at the finish.

Verdict: A nice IPA from Saint Errant. Not the crazy haze and juicy IPA that they are known for, almost more west coast in appearance and style, but there is a hallmark yeast sweetness that ties this back to the New England style. It's balanced and refreshing with a nice bitterness.
