This beer is compliments of FBarber. Thanks, good friend.
Initially a strong maple aroma is what you get, but it becomes more mixed with faint coffee as it warms. The maple and coffee are the major players in the taste, although the vanilla comes in lightly in the aftertaste. Moderate sweetness is there at the start and gets more noticeable as the beer warms. The mouthfeel is moderately thick but gets chewier along with the sweetness as it warms. I really liked this beer except that the sweetness exceeds my threshold of acceptability. Otherwise this would be a 4.5 beer.

Served from the can in a Phase Three snifter.
'Twas once grassy, but, well, you know why things had to be covered up... Anyway, this stuff pours a straight obsidian topped by a finger of sandstone foam. The nose comprises maple syrup, coffee, vanilla, and mild roasted malts. The taste leads with a strong wallop of maple syrup, followed closely by some vanilla, roast, and even some dark chocolate. The body is a surprisingly light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a somewhat thin feel. Overall, a very tasty stout, but one that lacks the heft that would make it nigh-on exceptional.

Aroma is maple syrup/pancakes, coffee and dark malts. The flavor is maple syrup/mild pancakes, coffee, dark malts and a long and medium/bordering on strong sweetness and mild acidity/alcohol in the finish.

Bought 4pack of 8oz cans 5Feb21, small packaging but worth it.
Oily coal black pour into chalice. Light Mocha head thin.
HUGE maple whiffs jump into olfactory. Hint of roast coffee aromas linger.
Incredibly soft and Creamy on palate. Finishes smooth with sweet maple stickiness marvelously intertwining vanilla undertone. Boozy 11.5abv, but not over powering.
Brewery cranks out superb IPA'S here in Chicago. First tasting of Russian stout. Will repurchase as you will also.
Delicious offering St. Errant has here.
