This was supposed to be a cherry flavored/enhanced beer. I wasnt really able to detect much cherry flavor or aroma in this beer. Beer had a reddish tint to it indicating it could possibly have some cherry additions to it. Aroma was pretty much nonexistent. Mostly light malt aromas. If there was cherry, I didnt detect it. Flavor was just a basic amber ale flavor. Minimal cherry in this aspect as well. Light bodied and drinkable due to low alcohol and low everything else. Doesnt taste bad; doesnt really taste like much of anything.
I must admit, the High Point Liberty has been stepping up their beers lately. The IPA, brown, Winterfest, and Pale Ale have all been changed and they are above average. I think a new brewer has joined because there are definite differences within the last six or eight months or so. However this offering was below average.
