Formerly "Black Lager"
Our Dark Lager is an easy-drinking beer powered by a pair of New York State ingredients. Pilsner malt from 1886 Malt House (Fulton, NY) and Triple Pearl hops from Chimney Bluffs Hoppery (Wolcott, NY), comprise a dark, lightly roasted brew with hints of caramel and honey. Earthy bitterness features at the finish, rounding out this refreshing, ruby red-tinged German-Style Schwarzbier.

2d review. 1st from Brewer. I like it.
a) Cola body, rocky ice cream soda head and lace.
s) toasts, malts, mineral, metal.
t) More mineral and metal, along with wood, the underbelly of a boardwalk, but soft. Some smoke.
f) Mineral (hard Adirondack water), a bit of woody finish.
o) Light and refreshing black lager like they make then in industrial germany.

About 3 month old can
L: A very nice diluted coke with a ruby tinge and a medium tall, quickly dissolving, tan head
S: Very little aroma, mostly charred malt & burnt toast
T: charred malts, burnt toast
F: surprisingly thin with a bitter aftertaste on the sides and back of the tongue
O: disappointing, not a drain pour, but definitely not a repurchase
