Having this on-tap at the brewery. Served in a tulip glass, this beer draws a clear, medium golden color with a nice white head that's an inch thick when served. Head settles to a thick ring lining the inside of the glass along with a few small spots and swirls of surface foam and excellent lacing. Aromas of some toasted malts and certainly peppercorn along with a slight musty funk. The taste is pretty much the same, with some slightly toasted and grainy caramel malts along with a bit of a spice bite from the peppercorn and a slight, musty, barnyard funk note that's rounded out with some piney hops. Has a crisp, yet smooth, medium bodied mouthfeel other moderate carbonation. Has a very clean finish, and that peppercorn hint sticks around in the aftertaste for awhile after each sip. A very enjoyable beer here.
