Had this on-tap at the brewery. Served in a plastic pint glass cup, this beer is a slightly cloudy, medium to dark red color with an amber/slight brown hue. Has a white head that's about half an inch thick when first drawn and served. Settles fairly quickly to a thick ring lining the inside of the glass with a bit of lacing. Aromas of some bready, cracker like malts that give way to some yeasty esters and some sweet and tart raspberry. A very similar flavor profile, with some bready malts with a bit of a cracker like aspect that gives way to some yeasty barnyard funk notes and the aforementioned sweet and tart raspberry and a bit more of a sour note from the lactobacillus that is also used in this beer. Not really any discernible hop flavor here. A very tasty and refreshing flavor profile on a hot summer day. Has a crisp, yet smooth, light to medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish with a nice tart and slightly sour aftertaste. A very nice beer here.
