Uniformly hazy bright maize with a short but creamy and persistent white head.
It at first does not seem too phenolic, or too spicy, or too bretty or funky--a fairly balanced blend of all three, kind of like a farmhouse hefe of sorts--all delivered by a full but lightly soft body. However, it doesn't seem to work together well, and a little more ditchwater and horse blanket emerge over time than I'd prefer.
So I wouldn't identify it, to my palate, as funky in the traditional sense, but it's definitely got a funk all its own. It's not overpowering, but it's just unusual, perhaps warranting more exploration, at least on my part.
