I tried this beer off the tapper at Shillings Brewery in Glasgow as part of a four sample flight . It poured an opaque dark with white head that left some nice lace. The scent had dark malt, roast, and cognac notes. The taste was a bit off balanced and not overly easy to drink. The cognac was very strong and made it difficult to taste the other flavors presented in its name. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it is an ok beer.
