as much a morning smoothie as a beer, borderline grotesquely fruited, but it presents as natural, just more of a smoothie style sour beer here, salt is nice but this is all about the fruit, both identifiable to my senses, thicker than normal for this style. so odd that its a bit less drinkable, but it tastes real good, summery and sweet, pulpy to drink, not too acidic. orange in the glass and seriously thick to the point of being lumpy on the edges after each sip, still somehow carbonated a bit, pretty color and not as dull as some, but obviously odd to look at as its only partially liquid. a lot more fruit than beer to me here, sweet in the nose with apricot and peach both there the while way, juicy but honest to me, fuzzy and ripe, fleshy and real, light acidity with a lemon note, maybe a faint white wine note too, some minerality and saltiness, trace wheat and coriander, no hops at all, high high fruit. the flavor is the same, slight nod to peach over apricot to me, an orange note too, very juicy, all at our table like this, and the sourness is low enough where like it makes this kind of refreshing and doesnt limit it, but its enough to hack through some of these fruit solids. on the whole this isnt the kind of sour i was expecting or generally like to drink, a total fruit overload, but as these go, this is super well done and just a fun drink to have. nice mix of modern and classic in here, i think they have a great thing going. summer fruit bomb, fruits i love, subtle salt, fruity enough to seem almost healthy...
