Poured from 440mL can into a tall kitchen glass. Best by 8/7/23; can acquired at the brewery.
Appearance: extremely murky light yellow hue with two fingers of frothy ivory foam atop. Everything hoppy these guys make is hazy, no matter what style they call it.
Smell: lightly sweet aroma with a bit of orange and a little bit of lemon. The aroma is not strong, but it's good.
Taste: again, lightly sweet, with a bit more maltiness than I normally seem to encounter in BYM's pales/IPAs. The hops have a bit of orangey and herbal character, and there's a bit of bitterness here too. But I like it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess. This thing is made with flaked oats and wheat; I'm sure that helps.
Overall: this is an interesting beer, but I like it. They call it an APA, and though it looks like a hazy, it definitely has some bitterness to it. Maybe not my favorite of what they make, but that's a high bar indeed.
