Poured from 440mL can into a tall kitchen glass. Best by 9/30/23. This is my first fruit beer from Brew Your Mind!
Appearance: murky pink-orange hue that looks a heck of a lot like juice, but for the finger of frothy ivory foam with, again, a pinkish, orangey tinge to it.
Smell: earthy and sweet with plenty of strawberry and mango. Strawberry generally isn't an assertive enough flavor to make a big impression in something like this; here, it does okay, but mango is the big player for sure.
Taste: a bit more sour than I was expecting, given the aroma. It's got some sweetness to go with the sour; again, the earthy mango makes more of an impression than the strawberry but the strawberry is there. My main complaint about this beer is the sweetness, though; it's brewed with lactose, and the flavor just doesn't work right with the fruit for me.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and a smooth creaminess.
Overall: I mostly like this beer; it's lightly sour with a nice fruit flavor. But for me, the lactose doesn't quite play well with the rest of the flavors.
