Poured from 440mL can into my Belvárosi sörfesztivál tulip. Best before 10/30/24.
Appearance: medium golden-yellow hue with a pretty good haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam that leaves a good lace on the glass.
Smell: nice malt aroma with a moderate sweetness and a fair dose of citrus peel hop character; there's a little bit of herbal dryness in here too.
Taste: definitely an edge toward sharp citrusy hop character; there's a bit of sweetness here but it's well-balanced by a rather pronounced bitterness. It's good, but it's heavy-duty for sure.
Mouthfeel: plenty of body with a great big carbonation and a really nice creaminess. It's a big boi.
Overall: you know I love BYM ... this is a really good beer, but it trends toward the bitter pretty heavily. I mean, I don't taste the alcohol at all, but it's a bitter beer for sure, which does impede drinkability a bit. I like it, but you gotta know what you are getting into when you crack open one of these.
