The latest addition to our experimental series is a double cold-hopped hazy IPA, whose intense aromas are based on an extra pale ale and oat malt base and emphasize the properties of Manilita and Citra hops.

Poured from 440mL can into a wine glass. The best-by sticker seems to have fallen off, but this is a pretty new beer, so I expect it's reasonably fresh.
Appearance: pale golden-yellow hue with a good haze and a thick head of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: moderately sweet with some stone fruit and passionfruit juiciness, but also a more earthy, herbal note. I dig it.
Taste: there's kind of a rindey bitterness right up front with this one; very orange pith-ey. There's sweetness there too, but almost not enough to balance that blunt bitterness. It has those good stone fruit and slightly tropical flavors from the aroma, and it is tasty, but it's a bit off-balance.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: BYM's Human Experiment line can be real hit-or-miss. This is still a good beer, but definitely in the lower ranks of the series.
