I had this beer on-tap in a narrow glass at Élesztő in Budapest.

Appearance: medium orange hue with a clear body and a finger of frothy ivory foam.

Smell: sweetish, toasty malt with a bit of a citrusy hop character. Not bad.

Taste: like the aroma, a bit sweet and toasty with some lemony citrus to the hops. Again, not bad — a classic American IPA, though maybe a bit sweet.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and a nice creaminess for the style.

Overall: not too bad, pretty much a middle of the road old-school IPA.

So, a holiday in Hungary, let’s get trying some local ones.

Top: forms an inch of off-white head
Colour: Pours dark amber, very slight haziness.
Smell: not intense enough for me, basic malty and hoppy smell, I see the hops listed on the bottle, I suspect they’d need to work on the amounts more as Amarillo and Citra should create a more defined smell, talking from experience.

Taste: a nice surprise after the smell, which was “meh”, it’s actually quite decent. It has 6.4% ABV and not afraid to show it, yet doesn’t get boozy. The Citra hop is definitely present with all its marks, bitterness is lovely, maltiness is moderate. Balanced. Lasting dry/semi-dry finish, medium to low carbonation.

Summary: a good basic American style IPA, had better, but would accept any time, if offered. Would I buy it again? Maybe. For the price (€1.50 in Lidl) it’s quite nice.

Hazy amber color with light beige head. Aroma has toasted malts and some orange peel with earthy hop notes. Taste has nutty malts, earthy hops, some tree sap and earthy walnut skin bitterness on the finish. Medium body and carbonation. It's a good beer but it leans more towards an amber or brown ale.
