Had on tap. Dark brown body with lighter clearer edges, tan head. Chocolate and roasted malt leads the nose, slight caramel supporting. Taste adds a faint light roast coffee note, otherwise the same as the nose. Feel is light but plenty roasty and chewy, dries out nicely

Poured from 330mL can into a tall kitchen glass. Best by 8/23/23.
Appearance: dark amber-brown hue with a little bit of haze and two fingers of creamy tan foam atop. Looking pretty good to me.
Smell: slightly sweet, caramelly, bready, nutty, toasty malt. It's not bad, but it's a little dense, I think, for me. I feel like maybe the style should be just a little lighter than what I'm getting here.
Taste: quite bready and caramelly, with a rather sweet finish. Bitterness is there, but maybe not enough for the level of sweetness I am getting. So, the flavors are pretty good, but they seem heavy for this style of beer.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: not much more to add -- it's just a bit sweet and dense for the style, but otherwise not bad.
