Poured from 330mL can into my Belvárosi sörfesztivál tulip. Best by 8/6/25.
Appearance: rich amber hue with a dash of haze and a finger of darkish ivory foam atop. Nice!
Smell: sweet, caramelly malt with a bit of graininess underneath. Perhaps a little bready as well … a bit richer/sweeter than I think of a Vienna lager as being, but still not bad at all.
Taste: caramelly, biscuity character to the malt, with a moderate sweetness. Not super hoppy, but there’s just enough bitterness to keep the beer balanced. It’s a well-put-together Vienna lager.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: not bad at all, but the biscuity character is something that is just not attuned to my personal taste. It’s not overbearing, but honestly, I probably wouldn’t go back to this beer — well made though it is — because of that biscuitiness.
