Unfortunately the label tells me nothing about the beer, so I had no idea what style it was when I bought it. I only new it was a Van Halen tribute beer, which is cool.
NO can date.
Pours a light fizzy small head with lower retention, a hint of lacing, very hazy cloudy med orange slight tan color
Nose brings fair citrus, orange, tangerine, a little mango notes, a touch of a candied citrus, light doughy creamy malt and flaked proteins, fairly light for NEIPA
Taste brings fair citrus, a bit of candied citrus, orange candy, fresh citrus, orange zest, tangerine, fair malt, a touch of sweetness, flaked proteins and even some vanilla wheat, fair amount of vanilla actually, and a little cake notes, light bitterness up front, then increasing to med to a bit higher bitterness surprisingly, lots of bitter rind and a bit of pith, and quite a bit of orange candy lingering on the med sticky touch dry finish
Mouth is med to a bit lighter bod, med-lighter fizzy carb, a bit soft but not too much
Overall meh, nose was way too light, taste was nice and I liked the bitterness but the level of bitterness doesn't match the style for NEIPA, it was also too light bod and not quite soft enough, although there was no green hop burn or chalky mineral thankfully
