Great beer. To call it a pilsner is a stretch. The base beer is clearly a well crafted smooth pilsner with crisp light malts but the funk and touch of tart makes the a very unique beer. Well worth having if you make it to Green Cheek.

On tap at Green Cheek in Costa Mesa, CA.
Like Marky Mark in the 90’s, this one is hella funky. Nah, not nasty funky like your chick who doesn’t shave her armpits, but wild funky. It kind of feels like a tart saison; and Raul is into it like people who don’t order popcorn at the movies. (Who the hell wants to hear ‘Chomp! Chomp! Chomp!’ while you’re watching Leo get pounded out by a wild grizzly?)
Anyway, it’s well and good like a valet that doesn’t change the radio station in your car.
Peace!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
