Sweet tropical hoppy, orange-tangerine citrus, vanilla frosting, and a strawberry Strata-dank hoppy nose on this one! Taste follows exactly with a smooth and creamy finish. I have never been the biggest fan of Strata being used in hazies...for my palate and preferences, it seems more suited for west coast IPAs. This, however, is well done and is by far, the best use of Strata in a hazy that I have experienced. Great stuff!

Canned on 10/19/20; consumed on 11/13/20
Pours a turbid, milky straw hue capped with over two fingers of soapy, bubbly, white foam; good head retention leaves a rocky ¾ of a finger of cap, moderate, chunky collar, and sparse spread of webby/spotty lacing around the glass.
Aroma shows a rounded, resinous dank quality upfront bringing forth textures of rubbery white grape, fresh guava, and hints of underripe pineapple; orange zest and clementine deliver more tropical characteristics as a sense of crackling peppery spice forms on the middle; moss, lemon zest, mango pith, and wet cilantro all develop in turn for a flowing, eclectic close to an engaging yet accessible bouquet.
Taste opens with lush notes of papaya, a spiced mango edge, and touch of pineapple juice as a sweetening equlilibrium; herbal lemon guides toward a rubbery dankness fighting for attention across the mid-palate against a peaking, grassy bitterness overtaking the back end, with soft hints of grain and tropical essence accenting the finish.
Mouthfeel offers a slick medium body and a vague, lower end carbonation; a pillowy grit is subtle into the mid-palate as juicy undertones begin phasing into a progressive prickle on the back end, where the mildest bitterness invites a semi-crisp 'pop' on the finish.
Deceptively dank and rounded with exceptionally expressive, oily hop resin, this NEIPA is undeniably plush in approach and yet firm in its intensity; an intuitively easy-drinking, loaded hop experience.
