The brewers call this "Foeder Aged & Bottle Conditioned Old School Saison." Nearly clear pale amber with plenty of foam in the Affligem chalice. Spritzy and lively on the tongue with a nice touch of funk. Malty, cereal flavor enlivened with pear and some herbal hoppiness.
Modest yeasty flavors and some bitter aftertaste. Overall this is really tasty, a highly drinkable variation on the Saison style. From the 25.4 oz bottle purchased at the Costa Mesa taproom. Pour it all at once and leave the bitter sediment, as the label suggests.
