Hoppy Pilsner w/ Mosaic & El Dorado. The creator of Cheeky, Patrick Carrie aka @patrickisrad, plays in this sweet band called Limbeck. So, we thought it'd be fun to brew up an ode to their 2004 acoustic album, and also have a little show at our Costa Mesa spot to celebrate! This one is a pale, medium bodied, and hits with hoppy layers of skittles, orange zest, and maui wowee. Dry hopped like an IPA, but with the palate of a pilsner.

Glass: Clear 16-oz. Bruges beer glass
Price: $15.00 for a 4-pack
From: Green Cheek Beer Company in Costa Mesa, Calif.
Purchased: Dec. 3, 2021
Consumed: Dec. 10, 2021
Misc.: Canned on Nov. 26, 2021
Grabbed a 4-pack of this and two others at Green Cheek to have/share in my hotel room in my final work trip to the Carson area. Had two cans of this that night before reviewing it a week later, giving both a 4.25 on Untappd. Untappd description was “Hoppy Pilsner w/ Mosaic & El Dorado. Poured a clear pale-to-medium color with five fingers of rocky white head. Could see just a few bubbles creeping up along the sides of the glass. Excellent spotty lacing. World-class retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled Mosaic, tangerine, orange zest, lemon, floral, herbal and iced tea. Just as good from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted about as good as the nose but not as good as I remembered it. In order go Mosaic, Citra (not mentioned), lemon, tangerine, orange zest, floral, herbal, iced tea, melon, mango, pineapple and hints of spicy malt. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Long, hoppy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Just an excellent hoppy pilsner. Would look forward to having some more of this. (Overall - 4.25)
