I've negotiated a deal to bring you this amazing hazy beer. It's so good. It might be my greatest achomlishment. AND it's not going to cost you a thing! Mexico's going to pay for it. Trust me. My brain is very, very large. I have the best words. Hamberders. I'm an EXTREMELY Stable Genius, OK?

16oz tallboy can purchased at Community Pint in Spokane, Washington, for $4.49. The freshness stamp on the bottom of the can is too faint to read, but it was apparently released in early August, per Level. Here's their description:

Stats from Level:
Malts: Pilsner, Wheat, Oats
Hops: Galaxy, Meridian, Mosaic, Idaho 7, Azacca, Sabro
Yeast: Loki
Interesting, this last bit. I've never had anything but a farmhouse ale brewed with this yeast.
Certainly not an IPA.
Poured into a Mad Bomber IPA glass, this was an opaque orange-amber color. Decent sized beige head dropped somewhat quickly but left lots of lace.
As advertised, aromas of tropical citrus fruit and melons. It's a little muted, though.
Flavor is a bit more assertive than the aroma. Melon, mango and a bit of grapefruity bitterness on the extreme edges. Finishes very clean.
Medium bodied, with a creamy, slightly resiny mouthfeel.
Interesting beer. The can's claim that it's a double IPA can be taken with a grain of salt, as it's only got 1% more alcohol than the standard Stable Genius. The Loki yeast makes it, ahem, extremely drinkable. I could put away several of these.
