500ml bottle picked up at Bi-Mart in Gresham, OR
Poured into a Prairie Belgian-style tulip
P hazy caramel color w/ a small foamy off-white cap; maintains a thin ring
N soft-med to med nose of caramel, toffee, and subtle citrus
T a blend of caramel/toffee and lightly bready malt throughout; some citrus and rye in the finish, w/ a light rye barrel zestiness in the aftertaste; alcohol is well-hidden; some dry leafiness in the mix as well
Mf med bodied w/ med to med-high carb
O drinks like a mild American barleywine; alright, but a bit on the underwhelming side imo; good drinkability for the style and abv though
