16oz can from Level 1. Golden pour, mild haze, small white head sticks around. Aroma is part citrusy hops, part earthy, grassy hops. Taste is malty, bready, tropical notes, light dryness. Finishes fast.

a unique hazy ipa here, although i must confess that even though my wife was into it, this was the only beer we had in here that didnt totally do it for me, a little zizzle to the end of it, something slightly whack about the way the hops and the fermentation come together, right on the swallow, a twang, a phenol, a sharpness, a clash, not major, but it hits faintly amateur because of it, and it disrupts an otherwise cool hop profile. light rusty orange tone to this, less cloudy than a lot of them. frothy inch of white head capping it. nose is a little sweet, navel orange and canned pineapple juice to me, faint honey from the grain, very little from the ferment here when its good and cold, weirdly almost a belgian note as it warms, no bitterness apparent at all. juicy up front in the taste with some light residual sugar uniquely highlighting the hops, tangerine and yellow peach, dried apricot, mango too, very vibrant and less malty than it looks, just some body there, but nice balance to this for sure. its right at the end, and at temperature, that this falls a little for me, its not quite over hopped, seems more from the ferment, but there is a slightly chemical stressed aspect about it and it hangs on the tongue a second after each sip. still i like the hops in this and the unique approach to balance for the style. i have not had many hoppy ones from these guys, will be on the lookout for more...
