This is a dark brown brew with a molasses and dark German bread taste . There is little hop bite but a lot of malt body similar to the original Fat Tire Beer. This is a good easy drinking beer and way better than the current Fat Tire brand. This makes a nice beer to mix in with your IPA’s and Hazy beers rotation.

This beer pours a light amber color with an off-white head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is malt grain, caramel and sweetness. The IBUs are probably about 25 to 30, which makes it almost a NW Red/Amber. I prefer a little less hop flavor in my Red/Amber ales. It finishes with a mild bitterness. Rated 8-7-2024

Look: Medium amber and clear on the pour and in the glass with a sudsy off-white head that settles to a film and leaves good lacing behind

Aroma: Freshly baked bread, toasted bread crust, fruity esters, caramel, light earthy hops, and wafts of turbinado sugar

Taste: Caramel-slathered bread, crust, and toast combine forces to come on strong up front and quickly develop depth. Some red and green apple-led fruity esters float around in the middle, along with earthy hops, and closes with caramel, raw sugar, and earthiness

Mouthfeel: Full, smooth, clean, medium-high carbonation, and clean and smooth on the finish

Overall: I dig it. Wait, a brewery adding a year-round new beer to their lineup in 2024 and it’s an Amber Ale?! I was all in support if that news so obviously had to put my money where my mouth was and try it. A tasty a well-made Amber Ale that totally has an old-school MacTarnahan’s Amber-like feel to it. I’m always supportive if any brewer that packages “boring” and “old” styles like this and will keep this in the rotation all year
