Scotland’s native Golden Promise malt lends a full, smooth malted character for a deep, rich and complex ale. Low hop levels are used to keep the caramel sweetness in the finish.

12 oz. bottle:
Pours copper-tinted dark amber. A thin head becomes wispy. Lacing sticks.
The smell is of caramel, a whiff of peat, touch of medium dark fruit. Very mild.
The taste is of caramel, some vague fruitiness, a touch of peat. Caramel lingers through the finish. Sweet, but with enough balance to keep it from being sticky.
It is on the fuller side of medium bodied. Pretty smooth. Alcohol relatively well-covered.
A good interpretation of a Scotch Ale/Wee Heavy.
