American-brewed sour ale designed intentionally to be tart by inoculating with souring bacteria. 88 lbs of Oregon boysenberries lend the unique color and fruit flavor to this beer. We decided to make this beer have a 3.2 pH level to match the boysenberry flavor in the middle to make a well-balanced sour ale.

The beer is a clear red/pink color with a small, rapidly disappearing pink head
Not much aroma, a little fruit
Taste of boysenberry and grape
Minimally tart
Just not much to this beer.

Picked up a single from the Craft Beer Hop Stop 7-31-20 for $3.74. Canned presumably in July; consumed 10-31-20.

Beer poured a raspberry pink with a minimal head.

Nose is musty with a berry fruit infused malt base developing nicely as it warms.

Taste is a vinous like combination of grapes and raspberries over a lightly toasted malt base. Finishes balanced with a nice light pucker.

Mouthfeel is light bodied and refreshing.

Overall this is a sour that i can handle as it is well balanced and at a pH level comparable to the boysenberry which my palate likes. Recommended to those on the fence about sours and want to try. Brian Helton is a very good brewer and all products i have had have been enjoyable.

A: Ruby red with white/pink foam and light lacing that lasts thru entire glass.
N: Raspberry, blackberry, and sour notes.
T: Follows the nose, really refreshing raspberry and blackberry hit, sour flavors but not overpowering. A slight wine/grape finish with lingering dryness.
M: Light, clean, and refreshing with a gentile dryness to round it out.
O: A really decent beer, flavors were enjoyable, not too sour but balanced with some dryness.

Can from King's in Phoenix.

A deep reddish pink with a large light pink head that falls off leaving nice lacing, this looks solid. The nose is a blend of lactic sourness and fruity boysenberries, ripe, mildly earthy and mildly floral. The fruit note is a little jammy (in a nice way). Along with this is a mild grainy, wheat note. The palate opens with a clean, puckering, lactic sourness, a raw, grainy note and also a prominent carbonic acid flavor. The mid-palate has the berry expression, pleasant enough, with raspberry, mild vanilla, and mild floral notes. The carbonic acid grows on the finish, where it lends to a seltzer water like scrubbing of the palate with a mild lingering acidity. Decent stuff.
