Notes via stream of consciousness: This is 92% Inedit Damm with added glucose and fructose, strawberry juice, red currant, blueberry, pink peppercorn, black carrot, and citric acid. I should also note that it’s contract brewed in España for CC Damm S.L. It’s poured a very hazy pinkish-amber colored body beneath a two-finger thick head of rocky white foam. The aroma is limited but offers up a kind of generic ‘sweet red berry’ note. The original Inedit isn’t exactly a sweet beer but neither is it very bitter and this has extra added sugar so I’m guessing it will be sweet and… yes it is. It’s not quite dandyish sweet but it’s on the edge. The light acidity saves it. As for all of the added ingredients I’m still only getting a melange of berries without anything particularly standing out. If I had to pick one or two I’d say sweetened red currant and pink peppercorn. It’s lightly floral, sweetish, berryish, and somewhat refreshing. In the mouth it’s medium bodied and dextrinous, and I guess that all of those extra sugars paid off because the head is still intact as well, and there’s some very nice lacing all about the glass. This makes a nice dessert or after dinner tipple.
