I thought this beer was closer to a New England style than a West Coast IPA, but in any case it is a solid Imperial IPA. Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass this beer featured a hazy straw yellow color and a big frothy white head with plenty of thick foamy rings of lacing and good retention. A good looking beer!!! Aroma and taste included mostly citrus fruit, some mild caramel malt and a moderate amount of bitterness. Mouthfeel is crisp and somewhat bitter but by no means a hop bomb. Goes down easy for 8.5% .abv with just a little hops/alcohol bite. This one is a winner.

A - Extremely hazy dark medium golden tan color with vibrant white head.
S - Some sticky sweet malt along with faint berry and citrus.
T - Sweet malt base with berry and citrus over the top. Ends with a lingering earthy pine bite.
M - Chewy soft medium body with alot of dryness on the back of the tongue.
O - The nose definitely shows some age but the bitterness doesn't with lingering intensity.

From a growler, pours a slightly hop-hazed orange-gold. Big thick head leaves lots of lacing, more than you usually see at this ABV. Smell has a lot going on, with a complex array of spicy herbs, pine resin and fruit. Taste follows. Feel is a rich medium. This is a pretty killer West Coast style IIPA, super clean and delicious. Nice job.
