From the pint can, it pours a slightly hazy amber color with a modest, soon diminishing head. The nose gets light malt scents. The mouth gets the same.

Can dated 8/13:
The beer flows from the can in a medium amber flow. The rusty white froth protests this torrent and seems to be growing out of control, but the rage does not overflow into chaos. The head of the beer settles things down in proper time. There is some chilling haze, and a little more clarity comes as heat difference even out.
There is a pleasant sweetness about the beer, but I also get some spicy aspect - like fall spices including a little cinnamon. But a countering push exists in the form of some sweetened lemon tea. Combining it all, there's a nice mix of sweet and bitter going on. A lightly toasted bread opens the taste which brings a little sweetness that it doesn't relinquish completely. The spice joins in by mid taste, and they stick together through to the end. I don't get the lemon tea aspect in the taste, really. The beer is pretty smooth and fairly light, with just a little bit of a burden from some malt sweetness.
I enjoyed this beer from the can and on tap, a nice start to the Oktoberfest season for me.
